Join us for our first community dye day at our Indigo T-Shirt Party! Clean out that closet and bring over any t-shirts and tank tops that you want to refresh for summer by dying the perfect shade of blue in our community indigo vats!

During the event, fiber artist Cayetano Talavera will walk you through the process of using an indigo vat and basic tie-dye and dip dye techniques. You don't need any previous experience with natural dyeing - just bring your creativity!

Each ticket covers admission, supplies, and the dyeing of one t-shirt you bring. Attendees are welcome to bring up to three more tees or tanks to dye for an additional fee per item ($10/t-shirt; $8/tank). 

For the minimalists with nothing in their closets or if you want to try dying other goodies, we will have dyeable blanks such as socks, bandanas, totes, and t-shirts available for purchase.

It's important to note that Indigo works best with natural fibers like cotton, linen, and hemp. So, before bringing your tees and tanks, double-check that they are made of 100% natural fibers or have a high percentage of them. Additionally, please make sure that your items are laundered and clean to be ready to dye.

Pro-tip: while indigo is very fun to dye with, it can get a bit messy, so you’ll want to wear clothes on which you wouldn’t mind getting blue splatter or stains. Don’t ask us how we found this out… #smurfchic
